DESCRIPTION: Scarce mid 20th-century decorative treasure map by artist Melbourne Brindle of Bridgewater Connecticut. A chart of shipwrecks along the East Coast of the United States from Sandy Hook, NJ past Long Island and Block Island Sound as far as Horseneck Beach, Massachusetts. With an inset map of Delaware Bay and another inset map of the waters off Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. No holdings of this map recorded in WorldCat. Lacks attached sheet of wreck locations.

Ewart Melbourne Brindle (1904 – 1995) was an Australian-American illustrator and painter who in mid-career became for his automobile illustrations. In 1958 Brindle published another similar map: "An authentic map of Florida, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean Sea, showing locations of sunken treasure."
