Large chart of eastern Singapore Strait

China Sea. Singapore Strait Eastern Portion principally from British Admiralty Surveys 1865 to 1924 and Netherlands Government charts to 1926.

DESCRIPTION: Large, used nautical chart for the eastern portion of Singapore Strait with eastern Singapore Island. Last corrections in 1941 were made shortly before the invasion of Singapore by Japan in February 1942. Manuscript ink lines with notation: "Keep south of this line."

Published at the Admiralty October 1, 1927 under the superintendence of Rear Admiral H.P. Douglas, Hydrographer. Chart number 3834. Engraved 1927. Verso is blank with file drawer label.
