DESCRIPTION: Decorative map of Greece and Turkey displaying the wide extent of the Aegean Archipelago. Fine engraving and a title cartouche flanked by two winged female figures, topped by a fan shaped shell. Dated within at 1719. This attractive antique map, now nearly 300 years old, is characterized by its strong impression, evident platemark, and restrained hand coloring.

Named features include: Negroponte, Athens, the Peloponnese, Zante, Corfu, Macedonia, Constantinople, Naxos, Santorini, Crete, and Rhodes.
