Three colored plates of flags (small loss to first page). **Contains a lone-star flag for Texas. Navigation treatise is comprised of two parts: 1) How to keep a log and work it off. 2) On finding the latitude and longitude.

Dictionary contains hundreds of definitions of terms used in ship building.

CONDITION: Good  Binding tight. Pages are very clean without any foxing and only slightly browned. Embossed boards show wear commensurate with age. Several of the original color plates may be missing and the 3 remaining plates have begun to separate a bit from binding.

COLORING: Black, red, and blue appear to be lithographed; yellows and greens applied by hand-color.
