DESCRIPTION: Arguably, no one is more responsible for the distictive Parisian street plan of today than urban architect Georges-Eugène Haussmann. This artifact is Haussmann's wife's ( Louise Octavie de Laharpe 1807-1890; m. 1838) calling card from the latter part of the 19th century. With manuscript notations to the recipient on the recto.
