DESCRIPTION: The Grand Canal at Venice, Italy.  A finely-engraved and very decorative antique view of Venice's Grand Canal.  Against a dramatic, cloudy sky numerous gondolas and, far in the background, lateen-rigged vessels.  From the late 17th century.  
 
With a very fine manuscript calligraphic title : "Canal Grando zu Venedig allivo die Gondoli Al Fresco fahren"
