Original, cannabis-related protest poster promoting the White House Smoke-In '82 Washington, D.C. July 2 - 5. Promising free pot, the poster features President Ron Reagan sporting a huge smoldering doob while standing next to an elegant Nancy Reagan, both garlanded with green cannabis leaves. Above that ironic scene, on an arched semicircle, the text reads: "Pot is an herb. Reagan is a dope."

Measuring 25" on the diagonal this is an original poster from a 1982 issue of A Yipster Times Publication.Dana Franzen was a counterculture illustrator whose marijuana-legalization posters combined underground-comix imagery with pointed political satire. His documented designs include the 1982 White House Smoke-In poster, depicting Ronald and Nancy Reagan with cannabis imagery, and the 1985 “Rally Against Reefer Madness—Stop the Witch Hunt!” poster, targeting drug enforcement and police brutality. His work appeared as centerfold posters in the Yipster Times. These related works provide context for the present poster’s attribution to Franzen, although this unsigned example remains attributed rather than confirmed.

These include the Old South Wharf, Great Point Light, Brant Point Light, Nantucket and Siasconset Railroad, and more. <br><br> Nantucket developed into one of America's foremost whaling ports during the 18th and early 19th centuries, with its ships ranging across the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The island's prosperity supported a substantial maritime economy, including shipbuilding, sailmaking, rope production, and the processing and export of whale oil. Following the decline of whaling, Nantucket retained much of its historic architecture and maritime character, becoming an important center for historic preservation and tourism. Sutton's lithograph reflects the growing interest in documenting and celebrating this heritage during the mid-20th century. <br><br>

Cannabis plants, musicians, tipis and peace encampments connect the campaign for disarmament with the communal culture of the Rainbow Gathering.<br><br> Named destinations include the Rainbow Gathering for World Peace at Mount Shasta, July 1-7; the Democratic National Convention in San Francisco, July 16-20; the Los Angeles Olympic Games; a peace encampment in the Four Corners region of New Mexico; and the Republican National Convention in Dallas, August 18-23, as printed. The composition presents these locations through recognizable landmarks and separate scenes rather than a conventional geographic outline.<br><br> Placards proclaim "Disarm Now!" and "Summer Project: Change the World!"
