DESCRIPTION: Rare, large blue-line route map for the Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad (LA&SL). With an inset map of Los Angeles stops and the Central Office. A decorative historic item dating from 1933 before those rail lines were incorporated into the Union Pacific System in 1936 as the Caliente, the Sharp, and the Lynndyl divisions.
Shows the route extending west from Salt Lake City, through Las Vegas, Nevada and Utah to Los Angeles, California and the stops in between the two end points. The LA&SL was known for its depot buildings, many of which were in the Mission Revival architectural style, inspired by early Spanish missions in California.
Produced during the Great Depression by the Chief Engineer's Office. Omaha, Nebraska. February 1, 1933.
