DESCRIPTION: Original handcolored pochoir-process lithographed poster by Ernest Montaut commemorating the first crossing of the English Channel by a heavier-than-air aircraft in July 1909 by French aviator and engineer Louis Charles Joseph Blériot. The flight lasted less than 37 minutes. Bleriot won a prize of £1,000 for his achievement from the Daily Mail newspaper. Very good condition.
