The map is annotated with location numbers keyed to Maxwell's book. Published by Maxwell from Honolulu in 1950.

Theodore J. "Ted" Mundorff (1903 - 1969)
Born in Pennsylvania in 1903, Ted Mundorff attended Punahou Prep School in Honolulu, Hawaii. Mundorff's career included a stint designing greeting cards for Hallmark Cards in Los Angeles. During his career Mundorff worked as a painter, illustrator, and cartoonist and he "perfected the then new and revolutionary airbrush technique to achieve beautiful soft blends and tonal shading." Mundorff opened the Hawaiian Pallet studio in Honolulu and was well known for his paintings of local flowers. (1)
