DESCRIPTION: Promotional map of Cuba issued in 1896 to advertise “Cuba” brand Havana cigarettes, with the slogan “Cuba is the best Havana cigarette ever made.” The map shows the island’s provinces, towns, roads, railways, and lighthouses, with a legend identifying provincial capitals, judicial districts, and rail lines under construction. Printed in Havana by M. Ricoy during the final years of Spanish colonial rule, the map reflects the geography of Cuba on the eve of the Spanish–American War.
