DESCRIPTION: Rare original 1934 broadside for a two week Mississippi River cruise aboard the paddleboat Cape Girardeau. The event, limited to 100 passengers, was planned to depart New York on March 31, 1934 and was sponsored by Rose M. Speck of New York City.

The $139 fare included a pullman train from New York to Memphis, Tennessee complete with a recreation car. Aboard the riverboat, passengers could plan on a two-day layover in New Orleans along with onboard entertainment including:
- "Darkey spiritual singers"
- Square dances
- Costume balls
- Masquerades
- Deck sports
- Sun baths
- Swimming in the Gulf of Mexico
