DESCRIPTION: Signed and numbered promotional art print depicting the San Francisco skyline, produced for the Data Design Annual Conference 1988. The city's Financial District is rendered in gray and turquoise, with the distinctive Transamerica Pyramid rising among closely grouped office towers. Patterns of dots, short strokes, and broken color give the architectural panorama a textured, almost mosaic-like appearance.
The horizontal composition pairs the densely worked skyline with a broad white lower margin bearing "San Francisco" in flowing script and the conference designation beneath. A handwritten edition number and artist's signature appear near the lower center. The restrained palette and simplified architectural forms give the print a distinctly modern graphic character.
An example of corporate conference ephemera designed as a collectible city view. Signed within (illegible). Number 459 of 700 copies.
