Fine printed brochure with a map of Palatka Florida, by commercial artist John Bailey ca. 1965 . Printed from hand laid up and hand-lettered copy, giving this scarce artifact very much a folk-art feeling.

With business advertisements including Mathew's Moving and Storage, the Exchange Bank of Palatka and Middleton Realty Company. In 1948 Clyde D. Littleton Jr. graduated from high school in Palatka, FL. After several years in the Navy and Coast Guard, during the decade of the 1960's Middleton developed several properties in central Florida such as Big Scrub Campsites, Hog Valley, Woods and Lakes and many others.

Another ad for Frank Hancock Insurance Agency. Frank M. Hancock (1912-2007) owned Hancock Insurance Agency in Palatka for 39 years (1950-1989) and he was mayor of Palatka for two terms.

Measures more than 16 feet long. Railroad track charts are very rare and comprise an often-overlooked source for detailed geographic data that is unavailable elsewhere. Published January, 1916 with a MS note on the title page that the ballast is corrected to December 31, 1917. <br></br> The blueprint track chart was produced for internal use in the railway Engineering and Maintenance Office and thus may be the only copy remaining. Provides an unique source of detailed data for the railroad line which could be combined with existing cartographic data to enable father analysis. <br></br> Data includes railroad milepost numbers, track elevation, track grade, ballast composition (earth or cinders), track weight per linear yard, and geographical features. Notes features along the route including passenger stations, freight depots, water stations, coal stations, trestles, drains, culverts, and stock pens. <br></br> Please enquire for complete photographs of this 16' track chart.

The Royal Park addition was one of the earliest planned developments in Palm Beach, Florida, developed starting around 1908, three years before Palm Beach was incorporated, in 1911. Royal Park was developed by Elisha Newton "Cap" Dimick, Palm Beach's first mayor, and early developers who had previously worked on the development of the Palm Beach Inn (later known as The Breakers hotel). <br><br> Dimick and his business partners marketed Royal Park as an exclusive residential community, featuring large lots, ocean to lake access, and Mediterranean Revival style architecture. In 1913, Lewis Henry Green, a wealthy Mexican-born real estate agent and investor from California, started working for the Royal Park subdivision in Palm Beach, Florida. He employed a game plan of splashy advertising, auctions, and prize giveaways for buyers. Green's dubbing of Royal Park as "the Millionaire's Playground" sparked significant interest in the development. <br><br> Tours of the "playground" were handled by W.E. Watson, a businessman who helped promote the project with two 24-seat vehicles that made the rounds. Green offered prizes daily at afternoon auctions held three days a week on Royal Palm Way, opposite the new bridge. At the first auction, 600 to 800 people attended, buying lots at around $375 each. <br><br> Royal Park sold out by 1917. Completed and settled a year later with eclectic bungalows, gabled Victorians, and front-porch cottages, the subdivision's burgeoning prominence would shift the town's center southward, paving the way for the 1920s dawn of Worth Avenue.
